Hailing from Melbourne, Katana Cartel, are a Heavy Metal band showcasing a tasteful cross-section of classic metal, power metal, modern and thrash metal genres. Their latest single "Dime a Dozen" has a signature southern Pantera-esque sound combined with flavours of Machine Head and Korn. The song kicks in with a nu-metal riff steadily building  up to the chorus with a catchy melody seated atop a choir and driving rhythm section. Each passage holds its own groove leaving you tapping your foot along until the crescendo hits and takes the song to a whole new level of energetic headbanging.
