Waukegan, Illinois’ (USA) Masada has been around since the days of old school thrash metal. Their earliest performances were compared to riots, due as much to their fans as to the band. Masada has opened for Death, Nuclear Assault, Sick Of It All, Obituary and Zoetrope. Linked to their interview are videos of their early shows. They released a couple of demos and a split compilation with a handful of bands before parting company in 1989/1990. Masada reformed in the early 2010s and are currently releasing new material. Musically and lyrically the band continues to develop, as their next album is planned to be a conceptual narrative. Two singles have been released in advance and guitarist Paul Quinn explains their storylines.
