Interview with Keith Doom & The Wrecking Crew
The Sydney, Nova Scotia punk band Keith Doom & The Wrecking Crew formed in 2014 with Nathan Hines, their vocalist and frontman. To date the band has released two EPs (Potholes, Malt Water Party) and one full length (Total Expendable). All these releases can be streamed at Bandcamp and a new full length is planned for release in 2018. The EPs have a punk/rock and roll/Misfits meets Stooges vibe while the full length leans toward early 80s hardcore. The next album will continue in this vein according to the interview. Hines discusses punk rock’s roots from the early 70s, its relevance in today’s political climate and the band’s place in their scene.
