Metalegion Magazine from Portugal supports all dark and extreme music since its first issue from 2014. Published by Ricardo Azevedo who has been a fan for thirty years, it could be one of the next major underground publications. Metalegion Magazine is both visually appealing and rich in content for extreme music fans who prefer reading interviews paying attention to detail. Though it’s available on digital/PDF, you can acquire copies of each issue in print. The magazine is constantly seeking new staff writers who are interested in sharing their opinions with fans around the world. I interview Azevedo who saw many changes with the availability of underground music since 1987 and ‘88 and received inspiration for content and publishing from zines and magazines that were active in the 90s. Azevedo is also dedicated to giving his magazine its own identity.
