As winter slowly approaches the shores of Lake Michigan and the realm of the dead begins their ascent, Indiana's own Psychomancer have opted to unleash a cauldron of vicious death metal reminiscent of the early 90s Swedish assault and launch a blitzkrieg attack! With ungodly tones emanating from their amplifiers and the sounds of this onslaught caught in the confines of Chicago's Iron Hand Studio with Dan Klein at the helm, this is deadly venom bursting at the seams! Dan was able to capture the band's live sound during their time in his studio and it definitely shows.
Featuring 10 tracks of devastating death metal, Psychomancer has churned forth the vicious audio assault Shards of the Hourglass on Orchestrated Misery Recordings. This is the band's 3rd full-length release and latest recording since their split EP with Pitchfork and it promises to be an exercise in brutality!
Combining influences from the Swedish death metal assault and the horrid sounds from the German thrash invasion, Psychomancer has crafted a beast of an album!
