Description
Red Razor presents their new single/lyric video for the song "Violent Times".
Taken from the upcoming album "The Revolution Continues", it's a fast and infectious old school style thrash metal song crafted specially for the ones missing the good old days of headbang, stage dives and insane mosh pits. The lyrics talk about the rise of violence in modern world caused mainly by religious intolerance and social inequality.
The lyric video remembers several political activists who were murdered in the past three years in Brazil. More than 100 deaths were registered by Amnesty Inernational since 2016, which puts our country at the top of the list of the most violent for political activists, human rights defenders and LGBTIs, something we're definetively not proud of.
The song was recorded, mixed and mastered by Alexei Leão at AML Studio.
Lyrics:
Every minute, children are dying
Poverty, hunger and disease
Poor sanitary situations
Killing more than war on Iraq
Everyday, news about religious wars
Intolerance based on fundamentalism
Extermination of minorities
Ancient warfare for the holy land
THOSE ARE THE DAYS OF OUR LIVES
WHEN THE CHILDREN CRY
FULL OF TEARS IN THEIR EYES
WE LIVE IN VIOLENT TIMES
THESE ARE VIOLENT TIMES (4x)
Suburban gangs fighting for control
Sons and daughters killing parents for drugs
Weapons of mass disinformation
Racist police persecuting innocents
Around the world, conflits for oil
Faking evidences to justify war
Blood on politicians’ hands
Funded by the gun industry
THOSE ARE THE DAYS OF OUR LIVES
WHEN THERE’S NO ESCAPE
FROM THEIR MISERABLE FATE
WE LIVE IN VIOLENT TIMES
THESE ARE VIOLENT TIMES (4x)
