THE BEAST

DES YEUX is a Belgian drone act. Their music piles up repetitive patterns, spacey drones and dark influences from doom and black metal genres. Vocal and instrumental parts merge in a chaotic, yet melodic soundtrack. The band gathers former members of heavy doom bands OMSQ and Sunken. Navalorama Records (Phoenician Drive, IceDragon, The Samuel Jackson 5, Yadayn) will release DES YEUX’s first album in March 2019. “Nahr” (“river” in Arabic), refers to the early stage of the band, when all members brought together influences from their past musical experiences, and let them all merge into new sonic landscapes. Exactly as the river digs its own path by carrying away what it tears off from its banks.
