Ambassador is a dark post-punk band from Baton Rouge, Louisiana whose debut album, Belly of the Whale, dropped on September 28, 2018. Eluding the stale tropes of modern rock, the band has been compared to groups like Dredg, Pink Floyd and A Perfect Circle, featuring introspective and ethereal lyrics supported by concise grooves all defined by an ominous sense of melody. Existing as outcasts with no true ‘scene,’ Ambassador have won over a unique blend of fans. As you navigate these musical landscapes one thing is increasingly clear...Ambassador are unique, rebellious, seasoned, and secure. The band is currently promoting their debut album Belly of the Whale - a cavernous musical quest fusing heart rending doom, shoegazing aesthetics, and a deepset pop sensibility.
"This album is full of potential and as a debut album it’s honestly probably close to a masterpiece level of artwork. It’s got so much light and dark, a raw talent that shines through and very, very solid influences to draw from and blend together. While I do think this album is better listened to as a whole album experience rather than individual songs, I have nothing but praise for this album and congratulate everyone who worked on it." - Remy Kendall (Overdrive Music Magazine),

"Ambassador know how to turn emotion and atmosphere into music...I go so far and claim that Belly of the Whale is the only album of the last years which really breaks new ground." - Thomas Müller (The Nerd Post),

"I like it when bands go their own way and dare to risk being fresh and more exciting than most of the bands today, I like that they don’t want to regurgitate the same sounds and ideas over and over again, too bad that most bands do that. I also like that they build this album like an album and not like a collection of songs, the album as a whole is stronger than the individual parts and those parts are really good." - Daniel Källmalm (Hallowed),
