If this was a witches brew, you’d expect something dark, unnerving and heavy. But the coming together of these scene veterans has spawned an unholy alliance with a difference. Hellblind deliver straight shooting, savage, unapologetic and pissed off metal. The quintet have collectively refined the anger of their day jobs and channelled it all here, into this blistering five track debut EP. It feels like the band pulled up alongside the current bandwagon, took one look at it and then drove off in the opposite direction at 90 miles an hour. Long term collaborators Mark Clayden (Pitchshifter) and Paul Fletcher (Romeo Must Die), frustrated with postponed live shows and lockdowns, made a pact to release their heaviest material to date, suitably named “ A Plague On All Your Houses’. The pair previously collaborated on two albums with their behemoth project This is Menace, featuring 22 lead singers, from a ‘who’s who’ of metal. Hellblind are completed by Adam Frakes-Sime (Stampin’ Ground) on vocals, Charley Olsen (Outside The Coma) on guitar and Will Romain (Romeo Must Die) on drums.
