Friisk - ...un torügg bleev blot Sand :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: After their inception in 2018 and the releases of their first EP „De Doden van’t Waterkant“ and the Split with french Black Metal project LOTH „Kien Kummweer / Warndt“, German Black Metal outfit FRIISK will release their debut full-length record „...un torügg bleev blot Sand“ on July 2nd, 2021 via Vendetta Records. The record consists of 48 minutes with 7 independent, yet musically deeply connected songs which blend the harsh but melodic sound of German old school Black Metal acts of the nineties with the atmospheric edge of modern Black Metal artists, while drawing massive influences from the North-German landscapes, giving the band their distinctive sound which moves between aggression and melancholy. On „…un torügg bleev blot Sand“ FRIISK deal with negative experiences of individual human beings, packed into various stories which explore the realities of fear, devastation, depression, illness and death. The lyrics are written in German, Low German and Sater Frisian. Additionaly, Zingultus (known from NAGELFAR, ENDSTILLE,…) contributed guest vocals on the title track „Torügg bleev blot Sand”. The album was recorded, mixed and mastered by Andy Roszyk (ULTHA) at Goblin Sound Studio in Cologne from August to November 2020 who gave FRIISK after „De Doden van’t Waterkant“ and the Split-EP with LOTH yet again an uncompromising, but still dynamic sound on their full-length debut. The artwork and design was handled by Chris Kiesling from Misanthropic-Art. The full artwork revolves around the themes of the lyrics, giving besides the album cover, each song an individual illustration that depicts the topics of every story which is told lyrically and musically.
