Day 40 Announce Second Full-Length Album Phenomenon – First Single “Tunguska” Out Now

London, UK – UK metal outfit Day 40 have officially announced the release of their long-awaited second full-length album, Phenomenon , set to arrive worldwide on June 12, 2026.

Marking a major milestone in the band’s evolution, Phenomenon lands twelve years after Day 40’s debut album Only The Stones Remain . In the years since, the band has steadily sharpened their sound through a series of singles and EPs while building a strong presence across the UK and European metal scenes.

The new album delivers ten tracks of razor-edged, thrash-driven aggression blended with atmospheric depth and the band’s trademark melodic tension. With Phenomenon , Day 40 step confidently into a new creative chapter, presenting what may be their most focused and ambitious work to date.

The first single and lyric video, “Tunguska,” is available now, offering fans a powerful preview of the sonic intensity and thematic scope that defines the upcoming record.

“This album represents everything we’ve lived, learned, and fought for over the last decade,” the band shared in a collective statement. “ Phenomenon is the sound of Day 40 becoming exactly what it was always meant to be.”

Across its ten tracks, Phenomenon explores themes of transformation, resilience, and the mysterious forces that shape human existence. The material was written and refined over several years marked by lineup changes, touring experiences, and creative reinvention.

Guitarist and vocalist Den Dimitrov explains:

“Since the album was delayed several times due to line-up changes or more global issues like a pandemic and the collapse of international touring, we spent a considerable amount of time working on this material. That extra time allowed us to really extract the maximum from each song. We also decided to include the essence of our more recent short releases, which were recorded during the same sessions, and present them together in a bigger package complemented by stronger production.”

To support the release, Day 40 will roll out new visual content tied to the album’s conceptual themes alongside a series of live performances and promotional appearances.
