Sweden’s rising blackened death metal force Against I returns with their most blistering and bleak work to date — the new single “All Hope Is Gone” , set for release on June 6th, 2025 via Twisted Flesh Recordings .

Founded in 2022 by prolific frontman Fredrik Keith Croona (Cynical Existence, ex-Menschdefekt), Against I is a relentless fusion of extreme metal and electronic nuance. Together with guitarist Mathias Back and drummer Anders Ström , the band has carved a distinct sound drenched in aggression, melody, and despair.

Following their 2023 debut full-length “Carnival of Excess” and the darker, more experimental EPs “Perfect Smile” and “Destruction Lullaby” in 2024, the band escalated their momentum with the release of their sophomore album “Songs for the Dying” later that same year.

Now, as they forge ahead in 2025 with work underway on their anticipated third album, “All Hope Is Gone” emerges as a standalone harbinger of the grim and violent path to come. Self-produced and mixed by the band, this new track pushes Against I’s hybrid sound further into sinister territory — combining punishing blast beats, haunting atmospheres, and unrelenting vocal fury.
