Ruthless Metal

Ultimate Revenge 2: Dark Angel, Death, Forbidden, Faith or Fear & Raven (1989) Ultimate Revenge 2 was the follow‑up to the original Combat Tour, The Ultimate Revenge video, and it captured a different slice of the late‑80s extreme metal scene. It was filmed on October 23, 1988, and later released on VHS in 1989 by Combat Records. Instead of the Venom/Slayer/Exodus lineup from the first tape, this one focused on the newer wave of thrash and death metal that was exploding at the time. The video featured Forbidden, Faith or Fear, Death, Dark Angel, and Raven, all performing live in a raw, unpolished club setting typical of the era. The recording shows each band in a transitional moment: Forbidden still young and sharp, Faith or Fear representing the more technical side of East Coast thrash, Death bringing early death‑metal intensity, Dark Angel delivering their trademark hyper‑speed chaos, and Raven adding their veteran NWOBHM energy. The whole thing feels like a snapshot of underground metal right before it blew up into something bigger. #ultimaterevenge #80smetal #deathmetal Timestamps: 00:00 Forbidden 20:10 Faith or Fear 38:08 Death 55:24 Dark Angel 01:15:51 Raven LIKE, SHARE AND SUBSCRIBE!
