Billy Corgan says he doesn't believe Marilyn Manson is guilty, standing by his friend of nearly 30 years on The New York Times' Popcast. The Smashing Pumpkins frontman was asked whether Manson should still be in his life, one month after Slipknot fans pushed back on Manson joining their stadium shows. In January 2025, the Los Angeles County District Attorney closed a four-year investigation into Manson without filing charges.
