Most vocal sing throughs/ play throughs you see in content form are either mimed along with the song, or recorded audio/ video together and the audio corrected after, then posted.
Vocals are always tracked with some form of pre amp, eq, compression - first; then maybe layers of vocals; then perhaps reverbs, delays, etc.
This is not a critique from me; this video I’m posting is actually in the minority of how it’s done so you can truly hear what my scream sounds like with NOTHING.
(Yes there’s a mic there too, but that is routing into a system with all the plugins and bells and whistles)
There is no eq, no compression, no pre amp, no nothing. This is direct into Black Card’s tiny little Bluetooth microphone. I like to check and analyze and showcase different ways to present what I do. Think of this like playing a guitar through no amp.
