Prior To Madden 25rd, NFL Will Vote On EA Assuming it will remain its exclusive simulation Game Development
EA Sports and the NFL will be extending their agreement to continue making additional Madden games for the years to be. This is according to a report by Sports Business Daily and information from Albert Breer of MMBQ (see the tweet below). Both say that the NFL owners will be voting this week to grant EA exclusive rights to create games that simulate football until in 2025. According to news reports, the deal could be extended until the 2026 NFL season if the series is able to meet "certain revenues goals."
The agreement that has been signed between EA as well as the NFL is also believed to grant developers non-exclusive access to arcade style NFL games, in addition to "embedded mode/apps that are companion to the game." The agreement between EA and the NFL is scheduled to expire at the close in 2022's season.
Another major issue to vote on at next week's virtual owners ' meeting: NFL teams will vote to approve an extension of five years for their licensing agreement for video games together with EA Sports, through the 2026 season.So I'm sure this would last through Madden NFL 27.
