Taggart's memoir, which he called The Shameful Mammoth, follows British diplomat Robert Borden and was originally written as part of a short-lived war in the 1990s in which opposition forces, backed by the British, were advancing southwards. However, Borden wrote in his diaries that Taggart "seemed to place the entire war in a similar manner: a series of crises arising in complex, shifting inter-disciplinable inter-disciplinarity".
