You could simply delete the song after a week if you wanted ?
We would like to provide you our song to be played, but would like to make it downloadable for only a week. Is it possible to make it only streamable after that? Do you save the songs for further use, or only pick the ones that are currently on the site?
if you only want the track to be streamed you can use soundcloud or youtube and you can put that on your profile as well.
With so many djs on this station its basically up to the dj if they like a song they will play it on a show and yes most do save the songs to be played often if they like the songs or develop relations with the bands.... one way this happens is when bands visit the chat and talk to the djs while they air shows this will remind the dj and make them aware of who is listening. Thats pretty much the case at most radio stations from my experiance

Some parts of the site display my previous profile picture (like here in the forum), while I've already updated that image in my profile to another picture. How do I get it to change site-wide?
The picture that shows is the root picture from your account set up same as name, profiles work simply like pages work on facebook they are connected but the account info and details is at the root.
How band submissions work

Sign up and create a profile for your band, default level you get 3 tracks you can upload.
These tracks are public and available for streaming to anyone visiting the site public visitors can not download the tracks only members of the site can download tracks.
In your account settings you can also add your youtube channel id and this will make your profile automatically upload all videos from youtube and show them on your profile.
You can also add music using soundcloud, both soundcloud and youtube are unlimited.
Once your music is added to the site it will show up in our charts on the submit page and home page and be searchable using the search tool in the upper right corner. This way the staff of MDR can find them for play on shows and or for writing reviews etc.

Battle Of The Bands?

Battle of the bands will be the band of the month competition we run each month currently we run this on facebook but starting next month it will return to the site and be located under the tab for it in the menu with a hall of fame section as well. It will have a built in poll available to use by both MDR members and public as well.
