I had the pleasure of interviewing Tim Bey, the editor and publisher of Real Vampire Life Ezine. Bey is one of many interviewees who were introduced to me by Goddess Rosemary Sahjaza of Temple House Sahjaza, a supporter of and contributor to Autoeroticasphyxium zine since 2013. His interview is informative to epic proportions. You should only read it if you have no immediate plans. But if you make the time, it is guaranteed you will come away with much enlightenment about vampire cultures the world over. His knowledge and journalistic experience is staggering, and if you are curious about the history of the vampire mythos (starting with the mythology of Lilith) and its basis in real life, here would be a good place to start.
