The song is inspired by Bauer’s perspective as the father of a child with autism and serves as a tribute to individuals affected by autism and other special needs. The song delves into the dangerous power of ideology and its role in creating cult-like movements, both historically and in today’s world. Fast forward to 2023, another Jeff Frumess video inspired BloodSong to record the original track "Glub", a tribute to the late Manny Martinez (Misfits' drummer). The song, written in the style of The Misfits’ Cough/Cool, further cemented BloodSong’s position as a band that mixes nostalgia with a modern twist. Now, in 2024, Season of the Dead emerges as the most ambitious album yet.
