eSushrut@clinic & AROGYA SETU 2.0 Why in the news? The Union Health Ministry is set to launch eSushrut@Clinic, an affordable digital health management system for small clinics across India. The Ministry will also launch Aarogya Setu 2.0, transforming the pandemic-era application into a comprehensive personal health record and digital health platform. eSushrut@Clinic About eSushrut@Clinic is a lightweight Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) designed specifically for small outpatient clinics. It has been developed by the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing. The platform aims to support digitisation of healthcare services at affordable costs. NEED FOR eSushrut@Clinic Many small clinics continue to rely on manual record-keeping. Existing HMIS solutions are often: Expensive. oComplex to operate. oDifficult to implement in small healthcare facilities. States and Union Territories have also expressed demand for a simple government-backed HMIS solution. KEY FEATURES Digital Transformation of Small Clinics Promote digitisation of healthcare records and services. Affordable Healthcare Technology Provide low-cost digital solutions for small healthcare facilities. IMPLEMENTATION & COVERAGE Current Status More than 800 healthcare facilities have already been onboarded. eSushrut Software Deployment The broader eSushrut software is being implemented in: oMore than 15 AIIMS institutions. oSeveral state government hospitals. COST STRUCTURE Standard Cost ₹499 per month for five users. Government Support The National Health Authority will provide a subsidy of ₹200. Effective Cost ₹299 per month for five users. Additional Benefits Free access during the first three months. Additional users can be added at ₹50 per user per month. NHA & C-DAC PARTNERSHIP Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) NHA and C-DAC will collaborate for implementation.
