Description
Sadam Hussain, an 18-year-old boy from Faisalabad, had been suffering from serious heart problems since birth. He had always lived with shortness of breath, fatigue, and heart palpitations that affected his quality of life. As he grew older, his condition worsened. Deeply worried, his family took him for a thorough cardiac evaluation. After conducting several diagnostic tests, the doctor diagnosed Sadam with severe Mitral Stenosis (MS) and severe Tricuspid Regurgitation (TR). To save his life, the doctor strongly recommended Mitral Valve Replacement (MVR) along with Tricuspid Valve Repair (TVR). Unfortunately, the cost of the life-saving surgery was far beyond his family’s reach.
Sadam’s father, a laborer, earns only PKR 35,000 per month to support a family of seven, including Sadam and his four siblings. The family was surviving in poverty. With such limited means, the family could barely afford daily essentials, leaving no possibility of paying for complex cardiac surgery. During this time of despair, they turned to Transparent Hands for assistance. Moved by their plea, we registered Sadam’s case.
On June 25, 2025, he was admitted to Evercare Hospital, Lahore. Dr. Ajmal Hassan Naqvi successfully performed the Mitral Valve Replacement and Tricuspid Valve Repair on June 27, 2025. The surgery went smoothly, and after proper post-operative care, Sadam was discharged in satisfactory condition on July 1, 2025.
With relief and gratitude, Sadam expressed:
“I can finally breathe and move without constant fear and exhaustion. This surgery has given me a second chance at life, and I will never forget your generosity that made it possible. Thank you for supporting my treatment.”
Now, Sadam is free from the limitations that once overshadowed his young life. He can walk and enjoy daily activities with new strength. His family is immensely grateful to you and the Pakistan Children's Heart Foundation (PCHF) for saving Sadam’s life. They will never forget your generosity.
