Fiza Noor, a 3-year-old girl from Multan, was experiencing immense complications due to a heart disease. She experienced shortness of breath and chest discomfort. Walking short distances or playing left her breathless and feeling tired. Upon noticing her deteriorating health condition, her parents took her to a nearby hospital and consulted a doctor. After a detailed medical evaluation, the doctor diagnosed Fiza with Congenital Mitral Stenosis (MS) and Severe Pulmonary Hypertension (PHT) and recommended Mitral valve replacement. Fiza lives in a modest home with her parents and two siblings. Her father, a rickshaw driver, works long hours each day but only earns around PKR 25,000 a month. This modest income barely covers their monthly expenses, including food and utility bills. With nothing left to spare, affording an expensive heart surgery was not possible for them. Every day, Fiza’s parents watched their little girl struggle. The thought of losing her to a disease they couldn’t pay to treat was devastating. In desperation, they reached out to Transparent Hands for help. Understanding the gravity of Fiza’s condition, we quickly registered her case. Fiza was admitted to Ittefaq Hospital, Lahore, on May 12, 2025. The very next day, Dr. Asim Khan skillfully performed her life-saving Mitral Valve Replacement surgery. After careful monitoring and post-operative care, Fiza was discharged from the hospital on May 18, 2025. Her parents said: “We had almost lost hope of ever seeing our daughter healthy. Your support has given Fiza a second chance at life. Watching her smile and breathe easily is the greatest gift we could ever receive.
