Description
Abu Sufyan, a 2-year-old boy from Kasur, had been battling with breathlessness and chest discomfort since birth. Even the simplest activities would leave him exhausted and gasping for air. He couldn’t run and play freely, and remained confined to his mother’s arms. Desperate to find a cure, they took him to a nearby hospital. After a series of diagnostic tests and a thorough medical evaluation, the doctor diagnosed him with pulmonary hypertension and a large Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD). This serious congenital heart condition was severely affecting the flow of blood in his body. The doctor advised VSD closure surgery to save his life. However, the cost of the surgery was completely unaffordable for his family.
Abu Sufyan lives in a small rented house with his parents and five siblings. His father works at a small shop and earns only PKR 22,000 a month. After covering house rent, utility bills, and the children’s education expenses, nothing remains for the costly medical treatment. His parents felt helpless until someone told them about Transparent Hands. Abu Sufyan’s case was registered without delay.
On May 12, 2025, he was admitted to the University of Lahore Teaching Hospital. Dr. Salman Shah successfully performed the VSD closure surgery on May 13, 2025. After careful post-operative monitoring and recovery, Abu Sufyan was discharged in good health on May 18, 2025.
Sharing her joy, Abu Sufyan’s mother said:
“We were losing hope every day, seeing our baby suffer. After surgery, he’s breathing better and even trying to play. This recovery means the world to us. Thank you for helping our son get a second chance.”
Abu Sufyan’s life has taken a new direction. His recovery is a blessing his family will never forget.
Your generous support, along with the help of PCHF, brought light into Abu Sufyan’s life. His family is deeply grateful for this life-changing gift.
