Muhammad Siddique, a 50-year-old resident of Sheikhupura, suffered from diabetes and developed a foot infection six months ago. His foot became inflamed, and he went to the doctor for a check-up. With time, his inflammation became worse and progressed to gangrene. He was taken to a specialist care facility, where the doctor had to amputate his right leg below the knee. He needed an artificial leg to walk again, but he could afford to pay for it as he had no source of income. So, he contacted Transparent Hands and Hope Rehabilitation Centre to get an artificial leg. Under the supervision of Dr. Khalid, his right below-knee prosthesis was fixed on 31-03-2023. He is overjoyed to be able to walk again after receiving an artificial leg.
