The heavy-hitting duo PATRIARCHS IN BLACK returns with their third pre-release single, “Ready To Die,” taken from their upcoming fourth studio album Home , set for release on August 15th via Metalville Records . The official video for the single is now live and can be viewed here:

Featuring a haunting performance by vocalist Kelly Abe , the track dives into themes of mortality and perseverance. Abe comments, "We all have our cross to bear. For some, that involves brushes with death. And for some, the difference between life and death is one’s willingness to acknowledge their shortcomings. For me, to persevere in spite of them, I truly felt I had to be ready to die."

Founded in late 2021 by Johnny Kelly (Type O Negative, Danzig) and Dan Lorenzo (Hades, Non-Fiction), PATRIARCHS IN BLACK have quickly carved a unique identity in the doom and heavy rock landscape. Since their explosive debut Reach For The Scars in 2022, the band has steadily built a reputation for powerful riffs and diverse collaborations. Home continues this trend, boasting an impressive lineup of guest musicians including DMC , Kyle Thomas , Mark Sunshine , John "JD" DeServio , and more.

Lorenzo shares his vision for Home , saying, “You’ll find our usual doomy riffs, but we also took some chances. There’s acoustic guitars, violin, flute… lots of diversity. It keeps things interesting. I named the album Home because as much as I love to travel, it’s always nice to come home.”

Home features 17 tracks —though not all made the final cut—and blends crushing doom with atmospheric elements and emotional depth. The album stands as both a tribute to personal loss and a bold step forward creatively.
