Description
Google has updated its helpful, reliable, people-first content guidelines with a clear warning against deceptive authorship information. AI-generated headshots, made-up author names and fake credentials used to make content look like a human expert wrote it now count as deception, and Google treats them as a sign of a low-quality page.
The risk also goes beyond one article, because Google can start to judge the quality of your entire website as low. In this video, Sarvesh Bagla, Founder and CEO of Techmagnate, explains what Google is flagging, why it’s happening now and what brands should do instead to build real author credibility for Google and AI search.
