Description
In construction, the most expensive problems rarely happen on-site, they start much earlier, during planning. A small oversight in cost estimates, compliance rules, or construction sequencing can quietly snowball into crores of losses and months of delay once the project begins. That’s the challenge MeltPlan is tackling by bringing artificial intelligence into the pre-construction phase, where the most critical decisions are made.
Founded by Innovaccer’s Kanav Hasija and civil engineer Tanmaya Kala, the startup has built an AI-native planning engine designed to help builders identify risks before construction starts. The platform evaluates regulatory pathways, optimizes project costs, simulates different construction schedules, and measures the financial impact of each design decision, giving developers clarity long before procurement or site work begins.
Backed by $10 million in fresh funding from Bessemer Venture Partners and Noah, MeltPlan is already working with enterprise contractors in the US and UAE. With India as its next focus market, the startup is aiming to transform how projects are planned, turning a traditionally uncertain phase into a more predictable, data-driven process for the entire construction industry.
