Coming up, we’ve got rockstars going off the rails. And yeah, rock stars have always lived by their own rules — but some of them have been known to take things just a little too far from time to time… leaving a trail of wreckage in their wake. Today we’re counting down the most spectacularly unhinged, catastrophic meltdowns in rock history. Including Ozzy Osbourne, one of heavy metal’s most notorious hellraisers, who stumbled out of a hotel in his wife’s evening dress, and got him banned from an entire city for relieving himself on one of America’s most iconic monuments. There’s also Samantha Fox who was handed the biggest opportunity of her career… hosting a major televised awards show. But the whole production collapsed in real time all around her. Was it her fault? The press seemed to think so. And don’t forget about The Who's Keith Moon who woke up surrounded by a demolished hotel suite after blacking out. It took the concept of trashed hotel rooms new levels and he had to cut a hefty check to set things right… but did he actually do it? Or was he framed? Find out next.

On September 9th, following a massive concert outside of Paris that drew an estimated 500,000 spectators, the band and their crew retired to the five-star Hôtel George V. The Hôtel George V was the pinnacle of French luxury, filled with high-class hospitality, priceless antiques, and fine artwork. And it was all ripe for the drunken destruction of Moon and Entwistle… in what would become one of the most famous trashed hotel room incidents in music history. So here’s what happened… Following an evening of excessive alcohol consumption, Keith Moon had bet someone there that night that he could consume 19 margaritas in rapid succession… Not surprisingly, The Who’s management grew increasingly concerned over Moon's extreme intoxication, so they deployed their long-time head of security, Jim Callaghan, to monitor the drummer's movements throughout the hotel.
At the same time, Who bassist John Entwistle was winding down in his private suite with his wife, Alison. Entwistle had ordered a late-night formal French dinner, complete with a silver-service fillet steak, English mustard, and vintage Bordeaux wine. As John sat down to eat with a napkin tucked into his shirt collar, Keith Moon barged into his suite… after consuming all 19 margaritas.Slurring a brief greeting, Keith Moon plunged his finger directly into a pot of mustard and ate it. He then grabbed a pepper shaker, emptied its contents directly into Entwistle's platter, and consumed the remainder of John’s wine before snatching up the fillet steak and taking a bite. Then Moon walked over to the wall of Entwistle's suite, urinated on it, and collapsed unconscious onto the floor. John, who typically had calm demeanor, pretty much lost it. Seeing Moon comatose with his hotel room key hanging from his wrist, he removed the key and proceeded to Moon's room and locked the door from the inside.
For the next 20 minutes, hotel staff and security personnel heard a continuous series of crashes coming from inside the room. John methodically demolished every piece of furniture in Moon's suite, including tables, chairs, lamps, and the TV, reducing the room's interior to splinters. After completing the destruction, Entwistle went back to his own suite, picked up the unconscious Moon under his arms, dragged him down the hallway into the middle of the ruined room, dropped him onto the floor, then threw the room key onto Moon's chest, and locked the door. At 4:00 AM, Moon woke back up suffering from serious blackout amnesia. Seeing the destruction all around him, he just assumed that he had done it all himself and fearing the worst, arranged with the hotel to pay thousands of dollars in damages… which were billed directly to his personal account. Keith Moon never found out what really happened and lived the rest of his life convinced that he had been the sole author of the wreckage.
Moving on to our #6 entry… It’s KISS’s Paul Stanley in a battle royale vs a laser pointer… And this one is plain ridiculous.
