Description
In Part 5 of this multi-episode documentary on Brian Hughes’ new album, When The Wind Blows Wild, we bring you the final episode of the series: an intimate look at the journey behind the music.
We join Brian in the McNeela Studio in Baldoyle, Dublin, as he opens the first physical copies of his album, reflecting on the incredible process of bringing this project to life. Alongside him, Paraic McNeela shares his thoughts:
“That’s a brilliant album, and it’s ten times better than I thought it was going to be.”
This episode also features an exclusive interview with members of the renowned trad band Goitse, offering insights into how the influence of accompanying musicians shaped the atmosphere and depth of the album.
To close, enjoy a special performance of some upcoming reels with Brian, Conal O’Kane (guitar), and Colm Phelan (bodhrán), featuring “The Rookery”, “The Castlebar Traveller”, “Larry’s Favourite” and “The Merry Days of Easter”, showcasing the powerful connections and musicianship that define When The Wind Blows Wild.
