Description
A rehearsal cassette recorded in 1980 featuring Ozzy Osbourne has surfaced nearly 45 years after it was made. The tape, labeled “Ozzie Last Day,” was reportedly given by Ozzy to David “Chabby” Jolly during early solo rehearsals shortly after his departure from Black Sabbath.
The recording contains approximately 12 minutes of material, including loose improvisation from Ozzy on vocals, Randy Rhoads on guitar, and Bob Daisley on bass. Daisley has confirmed the authenticity of the tape. The drummer heard on the recording has not been identified.
This rehearsal predates the recording of Blizzard of Ozz and may represent one of the earliest documented jam sessions between Ozzy and Randy Rhoads a pivotal moment in heavy metal history.
