Varicocele is a condition involving the testicular veins which become distended, dilated and tortuous . These abnormal veins then produce significant heat causing damage to the testicular function thus decreasing both the hormones and the sperm production. Long term varicocele can produce permanent effects on the testicular morphology and function. Embolisation by all parameters is the best treatment in expert hands as it demonstrates the abnormal veins before obliterating them. We use a combination of different embolic materials to embolize this cluster of veins. The exact concentration of each agent is variable and is operator's choice based on his judgement and experience.
