“Quality is not inspected at the end. Quality is built from the beginning.” 🌿 In Ayurvedic manufacturing, raw material quality directly shapes the efficacy and results of the finished product. In this video, our Director shares an incident from the early days of Herbal Hills, almost 20 years ago, that changed how we approach sourcing. During a routine factory walk through the raw herb receiving and cleaning section, one thought stood out: if our raw material quality isn’t strong, how can we justify the quality of our finished products? At the time, herbs were sourced from local markets and traders. A closer look at the supply chain revealed that many herbs sat in warehouses for months before reaching manufacturers, affecting their freshness and quality. That led us to ask: where does good quality truly begin? The answer was clear: at the source. We decided to source raw materials directly from mandis and cultivation areas, preferably in the right season. That one decision reshaped our sourcing philosophy, improved the quality and consistency of our products, and became one of the key reasons behind the growth of Herbal Hills. Better raw materials.
