Description
Vox's chiming, screaming AC series amps are part of the fabric of rock history. Now Vox have brought in a new lineup of revamped, handwired AC amps that aim to offer a more faithful recreation of the vintage Vox sound – from redesigned cabinets to specialist transformers – plus modern conveniences such as effects loops. Here, Guitarist reviewer Richard Barrett puts the new 2025-spec Handwired AC15 up against our humble but faithful studio Vox AC15 C1 to see if the extra outlay for the new handwired AC15 is really worth it.
