#top10 #doommetal #albums My top 10 Doom Metal Albums Alright ladies and gentleman of youtube how are you all doing Its june 20th/2019. I hope your all having an excellent day! Tonight I Am back with my top 10 doom metal albums!

#10 St Vitus Self titled Doom metal pioneers Saint Vitus released their self-titled debut in 1984, and this album is considered one of the very first true doom metal releases.

#9-Sunn 00Void I have a tendency to discover bands in the strangest ways. The path through which I discovered Sunn O))), however, may be the strangest of all. In a webcomic I read on a daily basis, in the past year there was a story arc in which the main character was wearing a shirt adorned with the logo "Sunn ", which according to the author was incredibly ironic because it represented the exact opposite of Sunn O)))'s music. Intrigued, I investigated. Turns out the guy was absolutely right. On one end of the happiness spectrum is the smiley face emoticon, and directly on the other end is this album.

#8-Bell Witch-Longing Funeral doom, despite all the connotations the name carries, can be an interesting exercise in experimentation in heavy metal. Longing, in particular, stands in opposition of many of the traditional characteristics of a metal album. Whereas many bands are interested in pummeling the listener with a barrage of menacing riffs, on this album, Bell Witch works from the opposite end of the spectrum. What if a band was to release an album that contained as many riffs as one thrash metal single, and focused more on the empty space in the music than anything else? This is what you'd get.

#7-Nortt-Graven There are very few albums that I’ve heard in my time that make me crave for more of the same; that beg me to press the ‘repeat’ button. Nortt’s Graven (the 1999 version) is one of those. Despite its brief length (less than 30 minutes of music) this is one of the most stunning and mesmerizing releases I’ve heard in quite some time.

#6-Abyssmal Sorrow-Lament Funeral doom is one of those musical styles in metal which I wasn't to familiar with about one year ago. But since a revelation called Nortt, I haven't been able to stop myself from the eager to check out new bands within the genre. I went searching for its musical history and its founders and not once I have regretted this.

#5-Dictator The Pain Sessions It's such a shame only eight releases exist of this surprisingly clear, crisp sounding recording. The first and fourth tracks are the intro and outro tracks, and consist of soft ambient soundscapes played alongside the forefront piano work. There is little to say here except it sets the mood of this release extremely well, and the outro track ties up the general motif in essence.

#4-Nortt- Ligfared Nortt had laid the groundwork for the horrifying combination of depressive black metal and funeral doom with their first full length, Gudsforladt, in 2003. Fans of Nortt's previous work will not be dissapointed with Ligfærd, as it adheres to the same basic structure as his previous work, but with a few changes, mostly dealing with production quality.

#3-Sunn-Black One Sunn O))) isn't one of those bands you just decide to throw on during an iron pumping session at the gym or even something to listen to while doing simple tasks like yard work. Well, perhaps washing dishes or something... but even that might require something a bit more involved or, for lack of a better word, entertaining.

#2-Dictator-Dysangelist Dictator are a solo project from Cyprus that plays a mixture of depressive black, funeral doom metal and dark ambient and this is a review of his 2008 album "Dysangelist" which will be re-issued in 2019 by Aesthetic Death.

#1-Black Bile Cloacal Meditation "Come hither Brother, take your place, gnaw on thy flesh, let thy mind sink in His sacred filth..." Brutal, eh? With any other band, such romance would be viewed as comical. I want to say thank you very much to all patrons and subscribers of course!! Alright, So tonight.... The slipknot siccness part 27.... With Left Behind off of the 2001 sophmore Slipknot album IOWA. Alright so like every other slipknot song... this one does have a backstory as well... During the IOWA album, as you all may or may not know. I was working 2 jobs and going to university...this was a stressful time, not only with obligatory responsiblities but i was also drinking alot, smoking alot of drugs and just wasnt an overall happy person. Certain relationships with friends, family and a girlfriend at the time were in turmoil.
I felt completely hopeless and just fucking hated life. So many things were bothering me at the time, I was also hanging around people who were not very productive and overall miserable people. I was doing my best to balance university, work and my personal life and their were people around making it quite difficult to do these things. I felt trapped. I didn't like the courses I was studying in university and the constant partying had me so burnt out that i was behind on critical assignments and my job at the time was also suffering. I was mentally and physically exhausted. During this time I was constantly searching my life for answers. I felt purposeless and even though i was working and going to school, i was not fulfilled.
I was becoming increasingly angrier and angrier all the time. Of course i had SOME good friends around who were supportive and stuff. Playing PC games, smoking weed, drinking buddies that kind of shit. Slipknot was always playing in my house too. Certain people wondered why I was into such dark music at the time and some of them really didn't get it. Of course i didn't care because i tried to explain to them that i was sick and tired of the mediocrity my life had become and that i really wanted to do something about it. I remember one night a bunch of us got together to do some psilocybin mushrooms.. perhaps not the best idea, but i thought "hey what the hell" so we took the shrooms... sat around for a while and I remember beginning to peak just as Gently came on..Now granted some of you might think "hey your an asshole for doing this" But i looked around at everyone and said "you guys need to leave" Puzzled they kind of looked at me and said "Dude we were supposed to trip here tonight" "I said yeah well, im peaking and I want to be alone, now leave please, im not asking you guys again" so after some words were exchanged they left.. During this time i had gently paused... so i went back inside and turned the track back on... Settled back into my couch and began to let the music take me wherever it was going to take me..

We begin tonights podcast with the Second Hiatus in Slipknot's career. This hiatus would begin at the end of 2005 after touring in support of their 3rd album vol.3 the Subliminal verses which is considered by many to be Slipknot's weakest album...
As i said in my last podcast I don't really get it or understand those opinions but everyone has them right? During this hiatus the members of slipknot went on to their side projects, and doing their own thing etc in 2005, several members of Slipknot were involved in Roadrunner United The All-Star Sessions, Which collaborative album recorded by artists signed to Roadrunner Records for the label's 25th anniversary. 2006 saw Slipknot win their first Grammy Award, picking up the Best Metal Performance award for the single "Before I Forget".[50] The single went on to be featured on the set list of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock.On December 5, 2006, Slipknot released its third DVD Voliminal: Inside the Nine.
While Slipknot was on hiatus, several band members again focused their attentions on side projects; vocalist Taylor and guitarist Root returned to Stone Sour, drummer Jordison toured with several bands and produced 3 Inches of Blood's third album Fire Up the Blades, Crahan founded Dirty Little Rabbits and Wilson returned as DJ Starscream once again. Now, I don't know how many of you have seen Voliminal Inside the 9? But it is one of the most brilliant pieces of cinema/documentaries I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing, There so many clips of raw footage that are unedited and it gives the DVD a very claustrophobic, instense surreal visual style that really lends to the whole Experience of actually being in slipknot.
What I want to know is can you watch something that can change you?” That is the question posed by Slipknot‘s M. Shawn Crahan, more commonly known as Clown. With one view of Slipknot‘s latest DVD, Voliminal: Inside The Nine, you will be shaken, jarred and have your attention arrested. And yes, to answer Crahan’s question, you will be changed, because Slipknot are that type of band. If any metal band has the power to educate, entertain and change lives, it’s the nine-headed, hard rock enigma known as Slipknot. Since their formation in Des Moines, IA, in September 1995, the band has released three studio albums that have sold over five million copies in the U.S. Their latest studio record, Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses), released in 2004, debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 album chart and has sold over 1.5 million copies in the U.S. to date, spawning the singles “Duality,” “Vermillion” and “Before I Forget.” In November 2005, the band released Slipknot 9.0: Live, a gold-certified, double-live album.

Now if this is a concept you want to wave off and be a skeptic about then thats fine, this isnt for you. But do not ruin it for other people who have come here to learn and grow! Thoughts become things when they are given substance with feelings in the Mind. Thoughts are the DNA of the Universe. They contain the information that gives form to our physical life experience. Without feeling or substance, we would not be able to perceive the thoughtforms in our Mind.
The feelings we use to give substance to the thoughts in our Mind come from one of two sources: fear or Love. Thoughts that are given substance with fear based feelings such as anger, frustration or anxiety, will become things (physical life experience) that we experience as "negative" or "bad". Thoughts given substance with Love based feelings such as gratitude, peace, happiness and well being, will become things we experience as "positive" and "good". For example, let's take the thoughtform of "money".
All of us are giving substance, or feeling, to the thoughtform of money every day. For some, this feeling is "not enough" or "money is a source of evil". The words "not enough" or "evil" are also thoughtforms, but they are given substance in the Mind with fear by almost everyone. When we give substance to the thoughtform of money with fear based feelings we create physical life experiences involving money that are also given substance with feelings of anger, frustration and anxiety. It doesn't matter how much money we have or don't have, it will never feel like it's enough. Or we might get rid of it because it feels evil to us.
On the other hand, when we give substance to the thoughtform of money with Love based feelings like gratitude and well being then our physical life experience with money will also be given substance with those feelings. When we spend or receive money, we feel grateful. Whatever amount of money we have, whether it's a little or a lot, we experience feelings of well being.

Ok so after watching the SLIPKNOT-ROCK AM RING performance this past sunday... I have some interesting conclusions that i would like to talk about with you guys. I would greatly appreciate it! thank you to all my patrons and subscribers! 1-The "NEW MEMBER" had alot of chris fehn's mannerisms. 2-He knew all of the songs that they played and didn't fuck up on any of them 3-His vocals sounded very similar to chris in my opinion 4-if it is NOT CHRIS... then who the hell is it? 5-I am convinced it is not gauge crahan, though of course i could be wrong 6-it is NOT ZACH HILL of that stupid band DEATH GRIPS! 7-The fire and energy of the IOWA days are back especially in coreys vocals 8-Clown looked very despondent and depressed during the entire performance 9-I cannot see them making another album after "WE ARE NOT YOUR KIND" 10-I do believe there will be a canadian tour and i will be going to see them!
