There's a new field hiding inside Odoo's financial report settings that lets you completely change how reports like the Balance Sheet break down their numbers. In this video, I show you exactly how the Group By field works and why it matters. Accessed through developer mode on a report's technical configuration, Group By currently defaults to Account — but adding a dimension like Partner gives reports like the Balance Sheet a drill-down, letting lines like Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable expand to show the breakdown partner by partner, instead of just one combined total. Please note: this is based on Odoo's pre-release development branch, not the final Odoo 20 build. Features shown here are expected, not confirmed, and may change before official launch.
