Description
Odoo 20 introduces a major upgrade to the Time Off module with new rules for calculating leave duration — and it's a game-changer for HR teams managing attendance policies accurately.
In this video, we break down the three ways Odoo 20 lets you calculate time off:
🔹 Working Days – Leave is counted only for the days an employee is scheduled to work, based on their working calendar. Weekends and non-working days are automatically excluded.
🔹 Calendar Days – Every day within the leave period counts, including weekends and holidays, regardless of the employee's work schedule.
🔹 Sandwich Leave Rule – If an employee takes leave before and after a weekend or holiday, the days in between are automatically counted as leave too — a rule widely used by companies to prevent employees from "sandwiching" time off around non-working days.
