In this video, we walk you through the Units of Measure (UoM) feature in Odoo 19 and explore the major changes introduced in this version — including the game-changing merge of Units of Measure and Packaging into a single, unified system. 📌 What you'll learn in this video: ✅ How to enable Units of Measure & Packagings in Odoo 19 ✅ Setting purchase, sales, and inventory units for a product ✅ How Odoo automatically converts quantities across POs, sales orders, and delivery/receipt documents ✅ Configuring purchase units of measure per vendor ✅ Setting up product packagings (e.g., packs, boxes, pallets) and price-per-packaging ✅ Real-world example: buying in tons, selling in kilograms ✅ Key differences between UoM handling in Odoo 18 vs Odoo 19 🆕 Why this matters: Odoo 19 removes the old Unit Categories system and merges UoM directly with Packaging, eliminating the need to configure separate packaging models. This makes it much easier to buy and sell products in different units — whether you're purchasing in bulk (tons, pallets, crates) and selling in individual units (kg, pieces, boxes) — with fewer manual steps and more accurate automatic conversions. ⚙️ Where to configure it: Go to Inventory/Sales/Purchase App → Configuration → Settings → Products, and enable "Units of Measure & Packagings." 👍 If you found this video helpful, please LIKE, COMMENT, and SUBSCRIBE for more Odoo tutorials! 🔔 Turn on notifications so you never miss an update on the latest Odoo 19 features.
