Bloodstock Open Air

On August 10, 2025, Gojira brought Bloodstock Open Air to an unforgettable close with a headline set of crushing sonic force and profound atmosphere. As night fell across Catton Park, the French metal titans held total command of the Ronnie James Dio Stage, pulling the audience into a relentless wave of polyrhythmic grooves and hypnotic heaviness. To mark this momentous set, Bloodstock teamed up directly with Gojira to unveil an exclusive, five-track holiday release. While the complete performance remains under wraps, each selected song was meticulously remixed and remastered alongside the band’s longtime front-of-house engineer to deliver a massive, pristine, and fully immersive live mix. This feature captures one of the undisputed emotional peaks of the night. ⚡ Show Details 🎪 Event: Bloodstock Open Air 2025 🗓️ Date: August 10, 2025 📍 Venue: Catton Park, Derbyshire, UK 🤘 Artist: Gojira 🔊 Featured Track: “Mea Culpa” Anchored by tribal percussion, brooding dynamics, and an ever-mounting sense of dread and catharsis, “Mea Culpa” shifts from a studio contemplation into a primal, ritualistic live phenomenon. At Catton Park, the track transformed the festival grounds into an ocean of shared intensity, holding thousands transfixed in its hypnotic rhythm. This headline slot arrived amid a monumental era for the quartet. Following their seismic performance at the Paris 2024 Olympic Opening Ceremony—which thrust their uncompromising art onto the global stage—“Mea Culpa” stands as clear proof of why Gojira transcends the boundaries of extreme music, fusing sheer kinetic power with themes of human reckoning and conscience. Bloodstock 2025 marked the band’s fourth journey to the festival (following landmark appearances in 2010, 2016, and 2018), sealing a decades-long relationship between the group and the UK metal faithful. Bloodstock thanks Gojira and their crew for their dedication in bringing these archival live cuts to life for fans worldwide.
