Chimney sweep company owners: stay to the end to see how your company can join too.
In this video, Ray Gessner of ChimneySweeps.com welcomes our newest member company, Portland Fireplace & Chimney, and its owner, Louis Lee, who join us on October 30, 2026. Louis was born at home in Portland's Laurelhurst neighborhood, and some of the best lessons his dad ever taught him came by the fireplace. He went to Portland State on an economics scholarship and played Division I college basketball. Since 2007, he and his Portland-born team have been taking care of homes in the city they grew up in. They have a 4.7 on Google from 163 reviews, and people keep saying the same things: knowledgeable techs who explain everything, spotless work with not a speck on the carpet, and honest advice with no pressure. They're licensed and insured.
What they do: chimney sweeping and inspections, chimney repair and full rebuilds, liners and relining, masonry and historic restoration, gas and wood fireplaces, inserts and stoves, and fireplace remodels.
Where they serve: Portland and Multnomah, Washington and Clackamas counties, from Beaverton and Hillsboro to Lake Oswego, Gresham and Oregon City, plus Vancouver, Camas and Washougal across the river.
