FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Six String Revolver Unleash "Be Somebody" Out Now via Ragebreed Records

Hurricane, Utah's hard-hitting rock outfit Six String Revolver are making serious noise with their latest release, "Be Somebody," available now via Ragebreed Records. Delivering a loud, no apologies dose of original American hard rock soaked in southern grit, outlaw fire, and modern muscle, the band proves that straight-up rock and roll is alive and kicking.
Built on heavy guitars, massive hooks, and a live-wire energy that feels made for the stage, Six String Revolver continue carving out their own lane in today's rock landscape. The band channels the swagger of classic hard rock while pushing forward with a sharper, more modern edge, blending storytelling, rebellion, and pure volume into every track.
Fronted by vocalist Raven Cain alongside Hawkeye Pearce on guitar and vocals, Bill "Ash" Dent on bass, and Robert "Monster" Cantu on drums, the band brings a battle-tested chemistry that shines throughout the record and translates directly into their explosive live performances.
For fans of Guns N' Roses, Black Stone Cherry, and Saving Abel, "Be Somebody" delivers the familiar rawness and attitude of modern American hard rock while confidently standing on its own.
Frontman Raven Cain describes the release as a statement of survival and determination.

"Be Somebody is a battle cry for anyone who has ever been counted out, knocked down, or told they would never make it. This record is about standing up, turning the amps on, and proving that rock 'n' roll still has teeth."
Raven Cain, Six String Revolver

More than just an album title, "Be Somebody" serves as a mission statement. It speaks to the fighters, the dreamers, the outlaws, and anyone refusing to fade quietly into the background. The record explores themes of resilience, rebellion, love, freedom, and the relentless drive to keep moving forward when the odds are stacked against you.
Recorded and engineered by Tom Chandler at Elite Studios, the release was produced by Peggy Foster and Robert Cantu, capturing the band's raw performance energy while refining it into a powerful modern hard rock statement.
Managed by Ragebreed Records, Six String Revolver continue building momentum as one of the most authentic voices in today's American hard rock underground.
"Be Somebody" doesn't ask permission. It kicks the door open, cranks the amps, and reminds listeners that rock music still hits hardest when it comes from real life, real scars, and real volume.
Dallas Toler-Wade of Narcotic Wasteland Joins The Zach Moonshine Show for an In-Depth Conversation Ahead of the Fentanyl Zombie Apocalypse Tour

Metal Devastation Radio delivered another unforgettable night of underground metal as The Zach Moonshine Show welcomed legendary guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter Dallas Toler-Wade of Narcotic Wasteland and former Nile fame for an exclusive live interview.
The evening kicked off with an explosive lineup of Battle of the Bands winners, featuring Trivan , Soul Of Sheol , Rage of Justice , Heidbekka , Mistress , and Oezys , before Dallas joined the show to discuss everything from the upcoming Fentanyl Zombie Apocalypse Tour to the future of Narcotic Wasteland.
During the conversation, Dallas revealed that the band is preparing to release a brand new single ahead of the tour and confirmed that a new full-length album is officially in the works. After spending the past few years focused on touring and building momentum, the band is now shifting its attention toward writing and recording new material.
The interview also explored Dallas' longtime partnership with Solar Guitars, where he explained why the instruments have become his go-to choice both on stage and in the studio, even joking that he'd welcome the opportunity to someday have his own signature model.
One of the night's most engaging discussions centered around artificial intelligence in music and artwork. While acknowledging AI has practical applications, Dallas made it clear that he prefers genuine human creativity over machine-generated content.

"I think what we do is much more interesting than just plugging in a bunch of stuff... You'll never see me using it."

The conversation also touched on the provocative title of the upcoming Fentanyl Zombie Apocalypse Tour . Rather than backing away from difficult subject matter, Dallas explained why heavy music has always served as an outlet for confronting uncomfortable realities.

"As a band or an artist, I think you should be able to do whatever the hell you want."

Fans of old-school metal will especially appreciate the show's deep dive into Dallas' musical roots. From Black Sabbath, Uriah Heep, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Metal Church, Bolt Thrower, Deicide, Cannibal Corpse, and beyond, the interview became a celebration of the albums, bands, and record store discoveries that helped shape one of death metal's most respected musicians.
The discussion also highlighted the current state of death metal, with Dallas noting that the genre is arguably stronger than ever, pointing to the continued growth of major tours, packed festivals, and the enduring popularity of bands like Cannibal Corpse.
Before signing off, Dallas thanked metal fans around the world for decades of unwavering support, calling heavy metal "the most innovative and awesome music on the planet."
If you missed the live broadcast, don't worry.
TALIA HOIT Releases Powerful New Single & Official Music Video “All You Want” From Upcoming Album “When The Skies Fall”

Symphonic metal artist unveils the first emotional chapter from her highly anticipated second full-length album, arriving August 28 via SAOL
Symphonic metal artist Talia Hoit has officially released her emotionally charged new single “All You Want” along with the accompanying official music video, available now on all major streaming platforms. The track marks the first preview of her upcoming second full-length album, “When The Skies Fall,” arriving August 28 through SAOL, a division of CMM GmbH .
Watch the official music video for “All You Want” now:

Blending cinematic orchestration, powerful metal instrumentation, and deeply personal songwriting, “All You Want” captures the painful realization of trying to live up to someone else’s impossible expectations while losing yourself in the process.
“This song is about the impossible situation of trying to make someone happy who will never be happy with who you really are, because what they loved was some imaginary ideal of who they wanted you to be, rather than who you really are,” says Talia Hoit.
Known for weaving raw emotional honesty into sweeping symphonic metal soundscapes, Talia Hoit continues to push deeper into vulnerable and personal territory with “When The Skies Fall.” The upcoming album explores themes of existential crisis, identity, transformation, love, grief, and emotional survival through ten immersive tracks that balance haunting piano-driven intimacy with massive orchestral arrangements and crushing guitars.
At the core of Talia’s songwriting remains the same foundation that shaped her artistic beginnings: piano and voice. What started as deeply personal reflections and emotional processing evolved into songs that now resonate through towering symphonic compositions.
“Writing poems or songs was my way of processing life and my emotions and things,” Talia explains. “A lot of what I have written was not originally intended to be a commercial product, so I guess it really fits under the idea of a ‘piano confessional’.”
After years of writing and developing her sound behind the scenes, Talia Hoit officially stepped into the symphonic metal world as a solo artist with the release of her debut full-length album, marking the true beginning of her artistic journey into the public eye.
“When The Skies Fall” represents Talia Hoit’s most revealing and emotionally expansive work to date. The album invites listeners into a world where certainty crumbles, emotions collide, and beauty and pain exist side by side.
CARCERAL ANNOUNCES INSTRUMENTAL EXTREME METAL DEBUT ALBUM "DESCENDING REPRISAL"

Brazilian Extreme Metal Outfit Delivers a Relentless Fusion of Death Metal, Thrash, and Grindcore Without Boundaries

https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/carceral/descending-reprisal
Album Release Date: July 15, 2026
Exclusive Premiere: July 14, 2026 via Toilet Ov Hell
Genre: Instrumental Extreme Metal
For Fans Of: Death, Morbid Angel, Dark Angel, Voivod, Immolation
Brazilian instrumental extreme metal band Carceral is set to unleash its debut full-length album, "Descending Reprisal," independently on July 15, 2026, following an exclusive premiere through Toilet Ov Hell on July 14.
Built from decades of musical vision and refined through years of writing and experimentation, Carceral delivers a crushing instrumental assault that merges the technical aggression of death and thrash metal with the speed, intensity, and relentless pacing of grindcore. Without a traditional vocalist, the band places the full weight of storytelling on the guitars, bass, and drums, allowing the instrumentation itself to become the voice.
"Descending Reprisal" explores a dark apocalyptic vision centered around punishment, collapse, and the consequences of humanity’s systems of power, privilege, and injustice. Across 24 tracks, the album represents different stages of a devastating downfall, combining intricate musicianship, chaotic energy, and oppressive atmosphere into a cinematic extreme metal experience.
According to guitarist and band founder Roberto Ortega , the album represents the realization of an idea that has existed for more than two decades:

"Descending Reprisal is the result of an idea that took shape over more than two decades. The concept was to combine the riff language of death and thrash metal with the brevity and relentless pacing of grindcore, while keeping the music entirely instrumental. Instead of vocals, the guitars, bass, and drums carry the narrative.

The album revolves around the idea of punishment in an apocalyptic setting, reflecting on the systems of power, privilege, and injustice created by humanity. Every song is meant to feel like another stage in that collapse.

Although the music draws inspiration from bands like Death, Morbid Angel, and Dark Angel, I also wanted to capture the unsettling, dissonant atmosphere of Voivod and Immolation. The goal was never to recreate those sounds, but to combine the expressive freedom of instrumental music with the darkness and intensity of extreme metal. We hope Descending Reprisal offers listeners an experience that feels both familiar and completely new."

With "Descending Reprisal," Carceral introduces a unique presence within instrumental extreme metal, proving that crushing heaviness, emotional depth, and storytelling can exist without a single lyric. The album stands as a testament to the power of pure musicianship, where every riff, drum hit, and atmospheric shift pushes the narrative forward.
The album was produced by Roberto Ortega and Victor Hormidas , with mixing and mastering handled by Samuel Bassani . The recording process took place across multiple studios between January 2025 and May 2026, with additional contributions from a talented team of artists, designers, and musicians who helped bring the world of "Descending Reprisal" to life.
LucyVivor Unleashes Powerful New Single "The Thirteenth Gate" Out July 13, 2026

Independent UK Alt-Metal Artist Transforms Personal Battles Into A Cinematic Anthem Of Survival, Hope, And Resilience
Release Date: July 13, 2026
Genre: Alternative Metal, Progressive Metal
For Fans Of: Spiritbox, Bring Me The Horizon, President
Emerging UK alternative/progressive metal artist LucyVivor is set to release the emotionally charged new single "The Thirteenth Gate" on July 13, 2026 , an atmospheric and deeply personal journey through fear, uncertainty, and the strength to keep moving forward when life offers no clear answers.
Forged from lived experience, The Thirteenth Gate blends cinematic soundscapes, crushing modern metal riffs, haunting melodies, and emotionally driven vocals into a powerful anthem of perseverance. Inspired by LucyVivor's experience living with the rare genetic condition Von Hippel-Lindau (VHL) disease , along with anxiety, grief, and the uncertainty of an unpredictable future, the song explores the emotional weight of navigating life's darkest moments while refusing to surrender hope.
Built around the idea that survival is not about having all the answers, but finding the courage to keep walking despite the unknown, The Thirteenth Gate speaks to anyone facing illness, loss, mental health struggles, or the everyday fears that come with growing older and confronting an uncertain future.
The song captures a lingering sense of unease through cinematic verses before erupting into soaring choruses that balance vulnerability with determination. Fans of Linkin Park, Bad Omens, Motionless In White, Poppy, Spiritbox, and Bring Me The Horizon will find themselves at home within LucyVivor's emotionally immersive sound.
Describing the meaning behind the single, LucyVivor explains:

"I never write songs with the expectation that they'll change the world, I write them because they're how I survive the difficult moments in my own life. The Thirteenth Gate came from a very real place of fear, uncertainty and learning to keep walking forward when you can't see what's ahead. If someone hears this song and it helps them find the strength to face whatever they're going through, even for a moment, then I know it was meant to exist."

Known for creating music that refuses to hide from difficult emotions, LucyVivor channels deeply personal experiences into songs that resonate with listeners searching for strength, healing, and understanding.
With the motto "Heavy Is Her Name," LucyVivor has built an identity around fearless creativity and emotional honesty. An LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent artist from the United Kingdom, every release serves as both a survival story and an invitation for others to find courage in their own battles.
Produced, co-written, mixed, and mastered by Jim White , The Thirteenth Gate delivers polished modern production while preserving the raw emotional intensity at its core.
Whether confronting chronic illness, anxiety, grief, or the uncertainty that comes with simply being human, The Thirteenth Gate reminds listeners that courage isn't the absence of fear. It's choosing to keep moving despite it.
DISTANT Announce New Album Into Despair Out November 6 via Century Media Records

New Single “All Will Be (N)One” Featuring Ricky Myers of Suffocation Available Now

Dutch/Slovak deathcore force DISTANT have announced their new full-length album Into Despair , set for release November 6, 2026 via Century Media Records. Alongside the announcement, the band has dropped the first single, “All Will Be (N)One,” featuring Ricky Myers of death metal legends Suffocation.
The track hits like a concrete wall and then lingers in the aftermath. “All Will Be (N)One” drags listeners through a bleak, atmospheric descent centered on humanity’s fear of death and the slow, unavoidable collapse of time itself. Crushing deathcore intensity collides with haunting melodic passages, building a suffocating sense of dread before snapping into raw, unfiltered aggression.
Ricky Myers brings an unmistakable weight to the track, pushing its message deeper into darkness and reinforcing the central idea behind the song, that nothing escapes the end, and everything eventually returns to nothing.
Stylistically, DISTANT continue to sharpen their blend of cinematic heaviness and emotional extremity, but Into Despair signals a shift in focus. This time, the storytelling is not fictional. It is personal.
Across the album, the band steps away from conceptual narratives and turns inward, pulling directly from lived experience, grief, loss, hardship, and the long road of resilience that follows.
The band comments:

“Into Despair is the most honest music we've ever written. Every song comes from something we've lived through. Instead of hiding behind stories or concepts, we wanted to write about real emotions and real experiences. This album became a way for us to process grief and pain, but also a reminder that these are things everyone carries in one form or another.”

That honesty runs through every layer of the record. Into Despair is not just heavy in sound, it is heavy in meaning. It turns personal suffering into something shared, something listeners can recognize in their own lives. It is catharsis turned into amplification.
For fans of Spite , Lorna Shore , and Slaughter to Prevail , DISTANT continue to stand in the upper tier of modern deathcore, but Into Despair pushes further into emotional territory than ever before.
With a reputation built on cinematic brutality and unrelenting intensity, DISTANT now channel that force into something more vulnerable, more human, and arguably more dangerous because of it.
CRUCIAL VELOCITY UNLEASH THIRD SINGLE "THE HARVEST" FEATURING OPETH GUITARIST FREDRIK ÅKESSON

Classic metal veterans Crucial Velocity are set to release their brand new single, "The Harvest," the third chapter in their unfolding trilogy of high impact modern metal storytelling. The track features legendary Opeth guitarist Fredrik Åkesson, bringing a cinematic edge and progressive firepower to the band's most ambitious release yet.
"The Harvest" will be released worldwide on July 31, 2026 via Golden Robot Records distribution, with the official music video premiering the same day. Directed by acclaimed visual creator Wayne Joyner (Tremonti, Alter Bridge, Dream Theater), the video promises a stunning sci-fi experience that perfectly complements the song's cinematic scope.
A TRILOGY TAKING SHAPE

"The Harvest" marks the latest chapter in a conceptual trilogy that began with "Mortal Fallacy," which has already surpassed 340,000 YouTube views , and continued with "Martyr's Blood," featuring Voivod guitarist Dan Mongrain.
Each release has expanded Crucial Velocity's sound while staying rooted in the band's identity, blending classic heavy metal power with modern production, technical musicianship, and cinematic storytelling.
GUEST ARTIST POWER AND BAND LINEUP

"The Harvest" features soaring intro and outro guitar performances from Fredrik Åkesson, adding a widescreen progressive dimension to the track's already massive sound.
The band's lineup delivers on every level:
Androo O'Hearn – Lead vocals and harmonies
Nate Bauer – Songwriter, guitars, and bass
Michael Harris – Technical precision and melodic lead guitar
Matt Thompson – Thunderous, world-class drums
SCI-FI STORYLINE

"The Harvest" takes Crucial Velocity into bold conceptual territory. The song follows a science fiction narrative centered on an alien civilization draining Earth's resources and harvesting humanity in a desperate attempt to save its own dying world. Heavy, cinematic, and intensely atmospheric, the track feels like the soundtrack to the end of civilization itself.
EVOLUTION OF A MODERN METAL FORCE

Crucial Velocity continues to evolve while honoring the foundations of classic metal. With each release, the band pushes deeper into ambitious storytelling, elite musicianship, and larger-than-life production without sacrificing the raw power that defines their sound.
"The Harvest" stands as the band's most ambitious statement to date, seamlessly blending sci-fi grandeur with old school metal muscle and modern precision.
EXUMER Returns With Crushing New Thrash Metal Assault "Death Mask Messiah" Arriving August 28th via Metal Blade Records

German Thrash Metal Veterans Unleash Their Most Aggressive Chapter Yet With New Album, New Single, and A Return To Pure, Uncompromising Metal Fury
German thrash metal legends EXUMER are set to unleash their sixth studio album, Death Mask Messiah , arriving August 28, 2026 through Metal Blade Records . The highly anticipated follow-up marks the band's first new studio offering in seven years and finds the longtime thrash institution delivering one of the most aggressive and focused records of their career.
With a legacy forged in the fires of 1980s German thrash metal, EXUMER continues to prove that experience, attitude, and pure aggression never go out of style. Death Mask Messiah pushes the band into heavier territory while maintaining the raw intensity and unmistakable spirit that has defined their sound for decades.
The album features 11 blistering tracks produced by Dominic Paraskevopoulos (Kreator, Caliban) and mixed and mastered by Arthur Rizk (Soulfly, King Diamond), bringing together old-school thrash fury with a powerful modern production.
Co-founding vocalist Mem V. Stein explains:

"We are a lot more aggressive than on Hostile Defiance and are returning to a more 'in your face' style on Death Mask Messiah. We're furthering the process that began with our first offering for Metal Blade, 2012's Fire & Damnation, where we wanted to sound like a contemporary band while maintaining the spirit and our musical heritage of the 1980s."

Recorded between December 2025 and January 2026, Death Mask Messiah is the band's fourth release through Metal Blade Records and introduces EXUMER's new rhythm section featuring drummer Jerome Reil and bassist Alex Voss. Their arrival brings fresh energy to the band while strengthening the crushing foundation that fans have come to expect.
According to Mem:

"They have formidably integrated themselves as musicians and friends into the EXUMER tapestry. You can feel their young energy, coupled with our trademark aggression and experience. The band sounds more focused and yet raw, thanks to their addition to the lineup."

The album also features a special collaboration with American metal icon Nasty Ronnie of Nasty Savage , who lends his vocals to EXUMER's cover of "Unchained Angel," a track originally performed by Nasty Savage. The collaboration carries extra significance, as EXUMER toured Europe with Nasty Savage back in 1988.
Lyrically, Death Mask Messiah dives into themes surrounding modern political manipulation, misinformation, cultural division, the impact of the pandemic, and the dangers of charismatic figures who exploit power and influence. Inspired in part by the 30th anniversary of the Waco, Texas siege involving Branch Davidian leader David Koresh, the album explores the destructive nature of false prophets and those who lead others toward chaos.
The album's title track serves as the centerpiece of that vision, combining EXUMER's trademark sonic violence with a concept built around manipulation, power, and corruption.
Mem V. Stein states:

"We deliberately chose this track as the first single, as the sonic assault of its main riff and the lyrical concept represent the totality of our intentions for this album. It marks a clear step toward elevating the band to the next level of our career, leaving nothing to the imagination and reinforcing our place as one of the most powerful forces in the entire genre."

The artwork and layout for Death Mask Messiah were created by Björn Gooßes of Killustrations, known for his work with bands including Sodom and Vomitory .
The album will be available on CD Digipak, digital formats, and multiple vinyl editions including:
"Saturn" Grey/Brown Ripple Vinyl (Limited to 250 copies)
MANIFEST Unleash New Single “Hazard of the Die” Ahead of Crushing Sixth Album Nothing Left To Kill

Norwegian Thrash/Death Metal Veterans Return With A Brutal First Taste Of Their Most Raw And Uncompromising Record Yet

Norway’s veteran metal wrecking crew MANIFEST have returned with a vengeance, unleashing their explosive new single “Hazard of the Die” from their upcoming sixth studio album, Nothing Left To Kill , due out September 18, 2026 via ViciSolum Productions and Violent Media , with distribution handled by Sound Pollution .
Available now across all streaming platforms, “Hazard of the Die” serves as the first strike from the new album, delivering everything fans have come to expect from MANIFEST: crushing thrash riffs, death metal intensity, relentless grooves, and an attitude forged in the underground.
Listen to “Hazard of the Die”:
https://orcd.co/vm002s1
Driven by an unstoppable rhythm section, razor-sharp guitar work, and aggressive vocal delivery, “Hazard of the Die” wastes no time setting the tone for Nothing Left To Kill . The track erupts with high-speed thrash fury before dropping into a massive headbanging groove section, complete with a blistering guitar lead that pushes the song into full-throttle territory.
The band comments:

“Hazard of the Die was one of the very first songs that we wrote for this album, and it was the first track to be recorded. It sets a brutal and uncompromising tone for the rest of the album. The title refers to the uncertainty and risk involved in chance or fate, much like rolling a die where the outcome is unknown and uncontrollable.”

Produced, mixed, and mastered by Rune Stavnesli , Nothing Left To Kill marks a powerful return to MANIFEST’s raw metal foundation. The album captures the band’s trademark collision of thrash and death metal with a renewed sense of aggression, precision, and intensity.
The band states:

“We are ready with album number six. This upcoming release signifies a massive return to a raw metal expression, defined by our trademark mix of thrash and death metal. Rune Stavnesli is back in the producer's chair, and the collaboration has forged a bone-crushing, intense, and uncompromising album. Can’t wait to get it released!”

Formed in Norway in 1999 and releasing their debut record in 2005, MANIFEST have spent decades building a reputation as one of the country’s most relentless underground metal forces. Their ferocious live performances have taken them to stages around the world, including appearances at major international metal festivals and performances alongside legendary acts such as Entombed , Meshuggah , and Napalm Death .
With Nothing Left To Kill , MANIFEST prove they remain as hungry, dangerous, and uncompromising as ever. Combining the savage energy of classic thrash with the crushing weight of death metal, the band continues their mission of delivering pure, no-frills extreme metal.
For fans of Slayer , Sepultura , and Entombed .
Sweden's newest force in melodic death metal, Beyond Defiance , is set to unleash its highly anticipated debut album, "Utopia," on August 14, 2026 . Independently released, Utopia introduces a powerful new voice in modern melodic death metal, combining blistering aggression with soaring melodies, layered harmonies, and uncompromising intensity.
Founded in the spring of 2025 by Lars Karlsen , Torbjörn Andersson , and Sven Erik Fritiofsson , Beyond Defiance was built on a simple but ambitious vision: to create music that is brutally heavy while remaining melodic, dynamic, and emotionally engaging. Drawing inspiration from the legendary Gothenburg sound while incorporating elements of thrash and black metal, the band delivers an explosive debut that honors the genre's roots while forging its own identity.
Building anticipation ahead of the album release, Beyond Defiance will premiere the official music video for "Cry" on July 24 , followed by a second video for "Imposter" , arriving alongside the full album on August 14 .
Speaking about the production of the record, the band shared:

"The album was recorded at the band members' own home studios, mixed and mastered by Sven Erik Fritiofsson under strict supervision from the other guys."
Produced entirely by Beyond Defiance and mixed and mastered by Sven Erik Fritiofsson , Utopia represents the beginning of an exciting new chapter for a band poised to make its mark on the international metal scene.
NORCVLT Announces New Single “Celestial Tearfall”

Indigenous Atmospheric Black Metal project continues the journey toward sophomore full-length album
Southern California (Occupied Tongva & Chumash Territories) – NORCVLT returns with a powerful new offering, “Celestial Tearfall,” set for release on July 9, 2026 via Red Nebula.
Born from isolation, identity, and spiritual resonance, NORCVLT continues to carve its own path through the underground with a sound that fuses cold atmospheric black metal, ritualistic ambience, and emotionally charged intensity rooted in Indigenous perspective.
“Celestial Tearfall” serves as the second single from the forthcoming sophomore full-length album, further expanding the project’s evolving sonic mythology while deepening its thematic core.
Sound and Direction

“Celestial Tearfall” drifts through vast atmospheric landscapes while maintaining the sharp edge of modern black metal. The track leans into a cinematic and emotional pull, echoing the frostbitten grandeur of artists such as Uada , Yaotl Mictlan , Grima , and Agalloch while remaining firmly grounded in NORCVLT’s own distinct spiritual and narrative vision.
This is black metal that feels both ancient and forward-moving, like something carried through wind, memory, and time itself.
Artist Statement

“Celestial Tearfall” is the second single track release from the forthcoming sophomore album debuting later this year.
Truly excited to share this next single with you all as we continue to step further into the grander journey ahead. Ta’bintió.
As blackness fades… ancient splendor pours forth.
Brazilian Death Metal Veterans Unleash Three Tracks of Crushing Extremity on July 17, 2026
Genre: Brutal Death Metal
For Fans Of: Hate Eternal, Morbid Angel, Krisiun
After a ten-year absence from the scene, Brazilian brutal death metal force Laconist returns with their devastating new EP, Where Being Ends, I Begin , arriving July 17, 2026. The release marks a powerful new chapter for a band built on the foundation of uncompromising aggression, technical precision, and a deep respect for the extreme metal pioneers that shaped their sound.
Founded in 2007 by A. Neil, Laconist was created with the mission of honoring influential acts such as Angelcorpse, Centurian, and Hate Eternal while forging their own path within the brutal death metal underground. During their early years, the band released two full-length albums, one demo, and one EP before entering a decade-long hiatus in 2016.
Now, Laconist has returned with a renewed lineup and a sharpened vision. A. Neil remains the sole original member, joined by Zé Misanthrope, who has helped redefine and expand the band's legacy within the brutal death metal scene. To capture the intensity and power required for this comeback, the band enlisted Felipe Veiga as a session drummer to perform all drum parts on the new recording.
Recorded between October 2025 and April 2026, Where Being Ends, I Begin delivers three relentless tracks of savage riffs, crushing rhythms, and extreme vocal brutality. The EP was mixed by Zé Misanthrope and mastered by Cássio Zambotto, ensuring a massive and punishing production that matches the band's return after ten years away.
Adding even more firepower to the release, the track "Vermiforming" features a special guest vocal appearance by Kyle Ball of Lysergic and former member of Wake and Kataplexis, bringing another layer of intensity to an already devastating offering.
"After a 10-year hiatus, Laconist returns to the battlefield with a new chapter of Brazilian death metal brutality. Where Being Ends, I Begin represents the rebirth of the band and the continuation of a legacy built on extreme music."
Currently unsigned, Laconist is also working on their next full-length album and is seeking a label partner interested in helping bring their next evolution of brutality to a wider audience.
Where Being Ends, I Begin will be available on all major digital platforms on July 17, 2026 .
Brian Moody's Brian's Brain Continues Critical Momentum with New Praise from Powerplay Rock & Metal Magazine

Louisville Solo Metal Artist Earns International Recognition as Acclaimed Debut Album Expands Its Reach
Louisville, Kentucky – Independent heavy metal artist Brian Moody continues to build momentum behind his acclaimed debut album, Brian's Brain , as the release earns another major endorsement, this time from Powerplay Rock & Metal Magazine , one of the UK's longest-running rock and metal publications.
Following praise from Louisville's own LEO Weekly , which hailed the album as "fucking astounding," Brian's Brain is now receiving international recognition for its ambitious songwriting, powerful musicianship, and modern approach to melodic heavy metal.
In its latest review, Powerplay Rock & Metal Magazine applauds Brian's Brain for its expansive songwriting and dynamic musical vision. The publication highlights Moody's ability to craft emotionally charged compositions layered with crushing riffs and progressive textures, drawing comparisons to the sonic complexity of Devin Townsend. Standout tracks including "Driftwood" and "Dead West" are singled out as highlights, with the review describing the album as a fully realized and highly rewarding listening experience with exceptional replay value.
Originally released on November 24, 2023 , Brian's Brain continues to find new audiences through an ongoing promotional campaign that recently spotlighted the album's opening track, "Riptide." The single showcases Moody's signature blend of classic heavy metal melody, progressive songwriting, and modern production, while earlier campaign favorite "Madness Remains" surpassed the 1,000-stream milestone on Spotify.
Entirely written, performed, and produced by Moody, Brian's Brain is the product of a true independent artist dedicated to his craft. The album was mixed and mastered by Theodor Borovski at Slaughtered Studio in Moscow, Russia, resulting in a polished production that balances old-school heavy metal spirit with contemporary sonic power.
MOTHERTOMB – "DYING TO LIVE" ALBUM REVIEW

Gothic Doom/Stoner Rock outfit Mothertomb have earned a glowing review from Outlaws of the Sun for their highly anticipated debut album, Dying To Live , arriving July 14th, 2026.
Featuring Alice Gawlinski on vocals, Chance Gawlinski on guitar, Alton Minor on bass, and Mike Benitez on percussion, Mothertomb blend haunting Gothic atmosphere, Appalachian influences, psychedelic textures, and crushing Doom/Stoner Metal into a sound that is both timeless and forward-thinking.
Reviewer Steve Howe praised the band's ability to create a deeply immersive listening experience, highlighting the album's storytelling, massive riffs, emotional intensity, and dynamic shifts between atmospheric passages and crushing heaviness.
The review describes Dying To Live as a powerful statement from a band that combines "classic levels of intense storytelling" with "superb forward-thinking Doom/Stoner Metal music," calling it a standout underground release that deserves attention from fans of heavy music.
With comparisons to acts like Acid King and Windhand while forging their own unique path, Mothertomb are proving themselves to be one of the most exciting emerging forces in the Doom and Stoner Metal community.
BURNT WITCH – "WE HATE YOU" ELECTRIC WIZARD COVER FEATURE

West Tennessee Doom outfit Burnt Witch are also receiving attention from Outlaws of the Sun following the release of their crushing cover of Electric Wizard's legendary track "We Hate You."
Fresh off the exclusive world premiere of the track on The Zach Moonshine Show on Metal Devastation Radio , Burnt Witch have unleashed their swamp-soaked, fuzz-drenched interpretation of the doom classic exclusively through Bandcamp.
Rather than simply recreating the original, Burnt Witch inject their own signature sound into the track with crushing low-end, massive riffs, and an atmosphere rooted in the heavy traditions of Doom and Sludge Metal.
The release continues the momentum created by their acclaimed EP Dopelich , which earned recognition through Weedian's "Best Releases" spotlight, while the band continues to expand their presence throughout the underground heavy music community.
Burnt Witch recently joined The Zach Moonshine Show for an in-depth conversation about their evolution, songwriting, gear, the Memphis doom scene, and the upcoming Delta Doom Fest , taking place October 17th, 2026, at Growlers in Memphis, Tennessee.
