The evening kicked off with an explosive lineup of Battle of the Bands winners, featuring Trivan , Soul Of Sheol , Rage of Justice , Heidbekka , Mistress , and Oezys , before Dallas joined the show to discuss everything from the upcoming Fentanyl Zombie Apocalypse Tour to the future of Narcotic Wasteland.
During the conversation, Dallas revealed that the band is preparing to release a brand new single ahead of the tour and confirmed that a new full-length album is officially in the works. After spending the past few years focused on touring and building momentum, the band is now shifting its attention toward writing and recording new material.
The interview also explored Dallas' longtime partnership with Solar Guitars, where he explained why the instruments have become his go-to choice both on stage and in the studio, even joking that he'd welcome the opportunity to someday have his own signature model.
One of the night's most engaging discussions centered around artificial intelligence in music and artwork. While acknowledging AI has practical applications, Dallas made it clear that he prefers genuine human creativity over machine-generated content.


"I think what we do is much more interesting than just plugging in a bunch of stuff... You'll never see me using it."

Blending cinematic orchestration, powerful metal instrumentation, and deeply personal songwriting, “All You Want” captures the painful realization of trying to live up to someone else’s impossible expectations while losing yourself in the process.
“This song is about the impossible situation of trying to make someone happy who will never be happy with who you really are, because what they loved was some imaginary ideal of who they wanted you to be, rather than who you really are,” says Talia Hoit.
Known for weaving raw emotional honesty into sweeping symphonic metal soundscapes, Talia Hoit continues to push deeper into vulnerable and personal territory with “When The Skies Fall.” The upcoming album explores themes of existential crisis, identity, transformation, love, grief, and emotional survival through ten immersive tracks that balance haunting piano-driven intimacy with massive orchestral arrangements and crushing guitars.
At the core of Talia’s songwriting remains the same foundation that shaped her artistic beginnings: piano and voice. What started as deeply personal reflections and emotional processing evolved into songs that now resonate through towering symphonic compositions.
“Writing poems or songs was my way of processing life and my emotions and things,” Talia explains. “A lot of what I have written was not originally intended to be a commercial product, so I guess it really fits under the idea of a ‘piano confessional’.”

Brazilian instrumental extreme metal band Carceral is set to unleash its debut full-length album, "Descending Reprisal," independently on July 15, 2026, following an exclusive premiere through Toilet Ov Hell on July 14.
Built from decades of musical vision and refined through years of writing and experimentation, Carceral delivers a crushing instrumental assault that merges the technical aggression of death and thrash metal with the speed, intensity, and relentless pacing of grindcore. Without a traditional vocalist, the band places the full weight of storytelling on the guitars, bass, and drums, allowing the instrumentation itself to become the voice.
"Descending Reprisal" explores a dark apocalyptic vision centered around punishment, collapse, and the consequences of humanity’s systems of power, privilege, and injustice. Across 24 tracks, the album represents different stages of a devastating downfall, combining intricate musicianship, chaotic energy, and oppressive atmosphere into a cinematic extreme metal experience.
According to guitarist and band founder Roberto Ortega , the album represents the realization of an idea that has existed for more than two decades:


"Descending Reprisal is the result of an idea that took shape over more than two decades. The concept was to combine the riff language of death and thrash metal with the brevity and relentless pacing of grindcore, while keeping the music entirely instrumental. Instead of vocals, the guitars, bass, and drums carry the narrative.




The album revolves around the idea of punishment in an apocalyptic setting, reflecting on the systems of power, privilege, and injustice created by humanity. Every song is meant to feel like another stage in that collapse.




Although the music draws inspiration from bands like Death, Morbid Angel, and Dark Angel, I also wanted to capture the unsettling, dissonant atmosphere of Voivod and Immolation. The goal was never to recreate those sounds, but to combine the expressive freedom of instrumental music with the darkness and intensity of extreme metal. We hope Descending Reprisal offers listeners an experience that feels both familiar and completely new."


With "Descending Reprisal," Carceral introduces a unique presence within instrumental extreme metal, proving that crushing heaviness, emotional depth, and storytelling can exist without a single lyric. The album stands as a testament to the power of pure musicianship, where every riff, drum hit, and atmospheric shift pushes the narrative forward.
The album was produced by Roberto Ortega and Victor Hormidas , with mixing and mastering handled by Samuel Bassani . The album features 11 blistering tracks produced by Dominic Paraskevopoulos (Kreator, Caliban) and mixed and mastered by Arthur Rizk (Soulfly, King Diamond), bringing together old-school thrash fury with a powerful modern production.
Co-founding vocalist Mem V. Stein explains:


"We are a lot more aggressive than on Hostile Defiance and are returning to a more 'in your face' style on Death Mask Messiah. We're furthering the process that began with our first offering for Metal Blade, 2012's Fire & Damnation, where we wanted to sound like a contemporary band while maintaining the spirit and our musical heritage of the 1980s."


Recorded between December 2025 and January 2026, Death Mask Messiah is the band's fourth release through Metal Blade Records and introduces EXUMER's new rhythm section featuring drummer Jerome Reil and bassist Alex Voss. Their arrival brings fresh energy to the band while strengthening the crushing foundation that fans have come to expect.
According to Mem:


"They have formidably integrated themselves as musicians and friends into the EXUMER tapestry. You can feel their young energy, coupled with our trademark aggression and experience. The band sounds more focused and yet raw, thanks to their addition to the lineup."


The album also features a special collaboration with American metal icon Nasty Ronnie of Nasty Savage , who lends his vocals to EXUMER's cover of "Unchained Angel," a track originally performed by Nasty Savage. The collaboration carries extra significance, as EXUMER toured Europe with Nasty Savage back in 1988.
Lyrically, Death Mask Messiah dives into themes surrounding modern political manipulation, misinformation, cultural division, the impact of the pandemic, and the dangers of charismatic figures who exploit power and influence. Inspired in part by the 30th anniversary of the Waco, Texas siege involving Branch Davidian leader David Koresh, the album explores the destructive nature of false prophets and those who lead others toward chaos.
The album's title track serves as the centerpiece of that vision, combining EXUMER's trademark sonic violence with a concept built around manipulation, power, and corruption.

"We deliberately chose this track as the first single, as the sonic assault of its main riff and the lyrical concept represent the totality of our intentions for this album. It marks a clear step toward elevating the band to the next level of our career, leaving nothing to the imagination and reinforcing our place as one of the most powerful forces in the entire genre."


The artwork and layout for Death Mask Messiah were created by Björn Gooßes of Killustrations, known for his work with bands including Sodom and Vomitory .

After a ten-year absence from the scene, Brazilian brutal death metal force Laconist returns with their devastating new EP, Where Being Ends, I Begin , arriving July 17, 2026. The release marks a powerful new chapter for a band built on the foundation of uncompromising aggression, technical precision, and a deep respect for the extreme metal pioneers that shaped their sound.
Founded in 2007 by A. Neil, Laconist was created with the mission of honoring influential acts such as Angelcorpse, Centurian, and Hate Eternal while forging their own path within the brutal death metal underground. During their early years, the band released two full-length albums, one demo, and one EP before entering a decade-long hiatus in 2016.
Now, Laconist has returned with a renewed lineup and a sharpened vision. A. Neil remains the sole original member, joined by Zé Misanthrope, who has helped redefine and expand the band's legacy within the brutal death metal scene. To capture the intensity and power required for this comeback, the band enlisted Felipe Veiga as a session drummer to perform all drum parts on the new recording.
Recorded between October 2025 and April 2026, Where Being Ends, I Begin delivers three relentless tracks of savage riffs, crushing rhythms, and extreme vocal brutality. The EP was mixed by Zé Misanthrope and mastered by Cássio Zambotto, ensuring a massive and punishing production that matches the band's return after ten years away.
Adding even more firepower to the release, the track "Vermiforming" features a special guest vocal appearance by Kyle Ball of Lysergic and former member of Wake and Kataplexis, bringing another layer of intensity to an already devastating offering.
"After a 10-year hiatus, Laconist returns to the battlefield with a new chapter of Brazilian death metal brutality. Where Being Ends, I Begin represents the rebirth of the band and the continuation of a legacy built on extreme music."
Currently unsigned, Laconist is also working on their next full-length album and is seeking a label partner interested in helping bring their next evolution of brutality to a wider audience.
